Summers are great as it’s bright and colorful, you can trade your boots for floral sandals, sweaters for tank tops and finally get rid of the comforter of your bed. Apart from all that the one thing you would definitely want to change is your skincare routine. If you follow the right skin care method you can still have great skin throughout the summer and face the sun head-on.  

Imagine starting out your day with a rejuvenating skin care regime that freshens up and well as keep skin glowing all day long. Here is my ultimate morning skincare routine. This routine has been created taking into consideration that everyone’s skin is different. Here are a few steps everyone needs to follow every morning for great skin no matter what type of skin you have. You can choose the products of your choice but these steps need to be followed every day. Let’s get started!

The summer morning skincare regime is all about protection and prevention. How you prep your skin and the things you use in the morning determine how well managed your skin stays all day long.  Here is the best morning skincare routine for summer.

Cleanse your face with a mild cleanser or a cleansing oil

Cleanse your face with a mild cleanser or a cleansing oil

The very first thing you need to do is clear your skin from any product or treatments you used the previous night. This step shouldn’t be skipped because it’s very important as leftover night care products can be damaging to the skin. The night repairing products usually consist of retinol and other beneficial acids that can make the skin sensitive to the sun. Therefore you need to you a mild but deep cleaner of your choice to not just get rid the leftover products but to also get rid of dead skin cells and achieve a brighter fresh look.

A mild water-based face wash (you can also replace this step with a cleansing scrub on alternate days)

Washing your face with a mild wash will make sure your face is neat and clean with a matt finish, alternatively, you can scrub your face to get rid of dead skin cells and tanning. It’s best to choose a cleanser that has a low pH so that your skin doesn’t feel irritated and dry.

  • Tonning

Do not rub your face with a towel after cleansing, just pat it dry and follow up with a good toner.  It reduces the size of the pores and balances the pH level of your skin. This steep also makes sure that your face doesn’t become oily all day long. Wait for the toner to be fully absorbed by the skin before getting into the next step.

  • Serum

Most of us follow up toning directly with moisturizer but using a serum before that can help you improve skin in so many ways. Serums are highly concentrated solutions to easily target and rectify skin problems. They are designed in such a way that they can get easily absorbed by the skin when compared to cream and gel-based treatments. Choose a serum depending on the type of issue you have, I use a vitamin C serum which helps freshen and brighten up my skin.

  • Moisturiser

You can never skin the moisturizer because it’s important to keep your skin soft and hydrated. You can choose the moisturizer depending on your skin type. Since I have oily skin I use the Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer which is just perfect. Similarly, you can choose between creat and water-gel-based moisturizer depending on your requirements and skin type.

  • Sunscreen

A must do skin care is sunscreen. This can absolutely not be skipped. You can choose any sunscreen of your choice. I use the Neutrogena sunscreen with SPF 50.

  • Eye cream

Eye cream

If you are someone who has dark circles or dull eyes there are chances the sun can darken the area, to protect this area with a good eye cream of your choice.

  • Primer

Primer

Primer is very important especially during summer because a good primer can protect your face from becoming oily.  Also using a primer can giver your skin a near and even look.
